Batman Origin - Batman Year One Comic Review - Origin Story Of Batman - Batman Year One was a defining moment for DC Comic book fans. After Crisis on On Infinite Earths rebooted the DC Comics timeline, many fans were left wondering what changes had happed in Batman's past. Batman Year One answered that question and showed us the new canon origin story of Batman. Batman Year One showed us a grittier and darker Batman which would become the version of Batman that people preferred and loved. The blurb on the book states, A new edition of one of the most important and critically acclaimed Batman adventures ever, written by Frank Miller, author of The Dark Knight Returns! In 1986, Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli produced this groundbreaking reinterpretation of the origin of Batman—who he is and how he came to be.
