Dagon Short Story By H.P. Lovecraft Explained

H.P. Lovecraft's, Dagon is a short story by H. P. Lovecraft, written in July 1917. It is one of the first stories he wrote as an adult and was first published in the November 1919 edition of The Vagrant (issue #11). Dagon was later published in Weird Tales. Dagon is one of H.P. Lovecraft's most forward-looking stories. It has many elements and themes that foreshadow future stories such as The Call of Cthulhu and The Shadow Over Innsmouth. The title references Dagon, a Great Old One who went on to appear in later works by H.P. Lovecraft. Dagon - we are children of Dagon. is it a symbol of Dagon the fish god?
